Who we are

Banded IELTS is a study app for vocabulary practice and spaced repetition. The public legal URLs used by the app and App Store listing are https://banded.cards/privacy, https://banded.cards/terms, and https://banded.cards/support.

License to use Banded

We grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Banded for your own study purposes on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple's App Store rules. You do not receive ownership of the app, code, designs, trademarks, or other Banded intellectual property.

Your content

You keep ownership of the cards, decks, examples, hints, imports, and other study material you create or import. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to import and use that material. Do not use Banded to store or distribute illegal, infringing, harmful, or abusive content.

Banded Full and purchases

Banded Full is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase, not a subscription. In the United States, the current listed price is $12.99; the final price shown by Apple before purchase controls and may vary by country, tax, currency, or App Store changes.

Banded Full is designed to remove the daily review cap, enable iCloud progress recovery, unlock the full IELTS starter library, and include future updates for that unlock. Apple processes payment, receipts, refunds, purchase history, and restore mechanics. We do not receive your payment card details.

To request a refund, use Apple's App Store refund process. To restore a purchase, use the restore flow in the app while signed in with the Apple Account that made the purchase.

Apple's role

Banded IELTS is licensed, not sold, to you for use only under these terms. Banded, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.

Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and upon your acceptance of these terms Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app to you; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession and use of it, including product-liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, claims under consumer-protection or similar legislation, and intellectual-property claims — which are governed solely by these terms and applicable law.

Study outcomes

Banded helps you practice vocabulary and study habits. It does not guarantee an IELTS band score, admission outcome, test result, certification, employment result, or any other educational or professional outcome. Use official test materials and your own judgment alongside the app.

Acceptable use

• Do not misuse, copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the app or website.
• Do not interfere with purchases, entitlements, security, availability, or analytics systems.
• Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where law allows it.
• Do not use Banded in a way that violates law, App Store terms, or another person's rights.

Availability and changes

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue parts of Banded or the website. We try to preserve purchased access and local data, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, permanent feature availability, or that every old device or operating system version will remain supported.

Disclaimers

Banded is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.

Limits on responsibility

Banded is a study tool, not a guarantee of an IELTS score or other test outcome. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, lost data, lost study time, lost profits, or test outcomes.

If you use the free version, you have not paid us for the app, so there is no purchase-based refund, credit, or money remedy from Banded. If you bought Banded Full and a claim cannot legally be excluded, our responsibility is limited to the amount Apple charged you for that Banded Full purchase, unless consumer law requires otherwise.

Termination

You may stop using Banded at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially violate these terms or if required by law, App Store rules, or platform restrictions. Sections that by nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms, will survive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer protection law requires a different rule.
